Background Checks

A recent study has shown that as many as 92 percent of fleet owners perform background checks during the hiring process. The studies concluded that more than 92 percent of fleet owners perform background checks on prospective employees, regardless of how much they trust them. Before background checks were available, employee claims were difficult to verify, which resulted in the hiring of unqualified personnel. Most companies utilizing commercial drivers must obtain a fleet license, which will be revoked if an unqualified individual is hired, and reinstating the license is a very expensive venture.
