Motorcycle Insurance

Motorcycle riders in Nebraska must maintain financial responsibility to drive legally. There is a legal minimum level of insurance set forth by the Nebraska Department of Roads, but you must own a bond with a surety company authorized to conduct business in Nebraska. The bond must be at least $75 thousand. You must file your proof of financial responsibility with the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles. Acceptable proof includes, a certificate of insurance, a surety-issued bond, property bond, certificate of deposit of money or securities, or a certificate of self-insurance. The most insurance experts suggest that motorists purchase is $100,000 worth of bodily injury liability coverage and $300,000 for each bodily injury.
